Capcom has had a string of blockbusters this year, including a very decent version of Resident Evil 4, and it appears that the company is still getting waves. Resident Evil 4 – Remake has sold over five million units, according to Capcom. It was also believed to be one of the quickest games produced by Capcom in over a decade, falling just shy of the original Resident Evil 5 released in 2009.
It is now the best-selling Resident Evil title, and the fastest to do so since Resident Evil 5 in 2009.
On July 20, 2023, Capcom provided detailed information regarding the sale of Resident Evil 4 Remake in a press release. The company then explained the milestone and its importance to the company’s future success:
Sales of Resident Evil 4 grew following a highly positive reception from customers as well as with the release of The Mercenaries, free additional downloadable content, driving worldwide sales over 5 million units. Further, Capcom looks to continue expanding sales with the upcoming release of Resident Evil 4 VR Mode, free downloadable content compatible with PlayStation VR2.
In Fact, Resident Evil 4 has supplied excellent material so far and will continue to do so with future releases. The Mercenaries’ free DLC adds a fun post-game option to the already popular game due to which we believe that Capcom is planning to release more Resident Evil 4 DLC shortly. It will be intriguing and thrilling to watch how the game performs when the PS VR2 update is out and how it makes use of some of Sony’s most enjoyable technology ever.
Even so, Resident Evil 4 deserves all of the praise it’s received. It’ll be intriguing to see what Capcom has in store for the series next, as it approaches another sales milestone. Get the most recent information and announcements at technoloft.in.
